Situation Analysis

Jill Cohen opened The CannaBoss Lady CBD shop in Maplewood, NJ at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Not much was sure or certain but people needed head-to-toe support, inside and out, but the small town shop brought more than the promise of remedy.

The eponymous flagship outpost The CannaBoss Lady CBD Shop became an immediate safe haven for the people of Maplewood, NJ and a perfect perch for the growing cannapreneurial bosslady.

And, when the 2020 election made New Jersey one of the east coasts’ newest adult-use (“recreational”) cannabis markets, Jill did what Jill does:

She raised the bar again.

Brand Development

Six weeks of exploration and collaboration lead to a comprehensive brand refresh complete with custom logotypes and identifiers and a whole new eCommerce shop.

Digital Property Development

Custom WordPress design and development, paired with a white-glove Shopify-to-WP migration, meant a seamless transition and SEO preservation.

The Results

Fast-approaching deadlines from local and state cannabis regulatory commissions called for a quick turnaround on all new brand collateral and the new digital property.

The world didn’t need another cannabis leaf logo, so we went with a custom logotype that’s modern with a traditional feel.

And, we breathed even more versatility into the brand with emblems (or ‘coins’) that integrate beautifully on- and offline via stickers, buttons, and badges.
